Fun With Search Terms

It's time for another round of "Fun with Search Terms!" People type certain words or phrases into search engines. If the combination is right, my blog shows up in the search results. Sometimes the searches are funny. Sometimes I can provide more information to users, if only they'd comment on my blog. Either way, I enjoy the process. Please note, these searches are anonymous so I don't know who is stumbling on my blog. I just comment in the hope that they find it again.

Yes he was. And I have the details. But you didn't contact me so you don't have the details. Thems the breaks.

how to get free accessed to has a library edition that has most of the bells and whistles of it's fee-based edition. Check with your local public library to see if they have it in their databases. If so, all you'll need is a library card to gain access. You may also want to check your local Family History Center and see what they have in terms of access to genealogy databases.

  1. Laughing like crazy! Thank you!! You've put into words what I see on my blog, too! Especially the part about '"noel thibodeaux" shot
Yes he was. And I have the details. But you didn't contact me so you don't have the details. Thems the breaks.'

Everyday, someone searches for one of their ancestors that is also one of mine. And I, too, could share more info, if only they would comment... We don't have to share a hug, or even a handshake, just a friendly "hello...." would do!

  2. "Genealogy blob" - I'm sort of wondering why they didn't land on my blog with that one :-)

  3. I'm still rolling at "Amy Coffin nude!!!" Wonder how many hits that brought up and what number or page you were on?

  4. Oh...this was really great! I love it!

  5. Haha really funny Amy!

  6. Okay. I think this is the funniest round yet! I can't stop laughing! Better start watching around you, you might have a stalker! Not only are the search terms funny, but your come backs are great! You are the comeback queen!

  7. Absolutely hilarious! I am afraid to see what search terms would bring them to my blog - genealogy bog/blob/bug/bulge....

  8. Great post! I'm still trying to figure out why Mr. Goggle brought someone searching for "old person crossing finish line" to my blog!? Thank God no one has asked about nudes - not a pretty picture!

  9. Sorry - that should be Mr. Google not Mr. Goggle!

That's all I can muster, I am rolling on the floor laughing!!!

  11. LOL, I get a kick out of the search terms that bring people to my blog, but yours have definitely got them all beat.

  12. Wow. I mean really that's about all I can say. LOL. I love these search term posts.

  13. Wow, my blog's search terms are lame. maybe I should start up a "Boring search terms" series on my blog. But... I don't think that I will get anybody trying to catch me nude.

  14. Are you playing with your search terms again, instead of chipping away at those 2011 goals??? (hope so, I am waaayyyy behind)

  15. Great, I never knew this, thanks.
