Family History Research: Using Military Records

Staff from the Genealogy and Local History Department will show family researchers how to trace family history using military records such as draft-registration cards, Civil War service records, and pension-application files. Staff will also introduce the library's microfilm collection of indexes to the Revolutionary War, the Mexican War, the Civil War, and World War I. Online resources, such as the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System website and the American Civil War Homepage, will also be discussed.
