We Tree Genealogy Blog is FIVE!

GUYS, THIS BLOG IS FIVE YEARS OLD...

...and I'm celebrating on a small island where the major export is fruity run drinks.

This is how blogs celebrate their 5th birthday

Time flies, doesn't it? I remember starting this blog one summer. I just wanted a place to talk about genealogy. Five years later, I'm still talking about genealogy.

I've made many friends and found new cousins thanks to this blog. I am grateful to each and every one of my readers.

This blog has always been written as a conversation with myself at the table. Eventually people started sitting at that table. I can't believe you do, but I'm glad you're there.

I really am out of the country right now, so I'm not able to respond to comments in a timely manner. I blame this hotel view for my lack of online interaction:

I'll be back soon, I promise. Until then, it's time for some blogiversary conch fritters:

Here's where I'm holding my 5th blogiversary party. You're all invited:

Surely this island needs its own resident genealogist, doesn't it? I'll have to look in to that...

  3. Amy: YES! That island needs a genealogist! At least part time ;)

I love the way you put it:

  4. Well if you can't be sitting behind a reader in a musty archival library on your blogiversary, then you may as well be sitting with a rum drink in hand and toes in the sand. Go ahead - rub it in. (By the way, you have permission to drink a couple of those rum numbers on my behalf.)

  7. Wonderful! Looks fantastic! And congrats on 5 years of blogging. I think while you're there, you should investigate only the genealogy of the conch fritters and other yummy treats & smoothies. : )) Have a great vacation on your island.
